This Privacy Policy explains how Grade 8 Modding ("Grade 8 Modding") collects, uses and shares information when you use grade8modding.com (the "Site"). Grade 8 Modding is responsible for (the "controller" of) the personal information described here, and collects only what is needed to sell and deliver Mods.

1. Information collected

  • Contact information. Your email address, provided at checkout on the Site or on Stripe's payment page.
  • Order information. What you bought, the price, the date, and a record that you accepted the Terms of Service.
  • Payment information. Card and billing details are entered directly with Stripe, which may share limited details with Grade 8 Modding (such as your name, country and the last four digits of your card) to confirm the payment. Grade 8 Modding never receives or stores your full card number.
  • Technical information. The hosting provider automatically processes request data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps, for security and to operate the Site. Download activity may be logged to prevent abuse of download links.
  • Messages. Anything you send when you contact Grade 8 Modding for support.

Grade 8 Modding does not collect sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers, precise location or health data.

2. Cookies

The Site uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work:

  • A cart cookie that remembers what is in your cart (expires after 30 days).
  • A secure login cookie for team members who sign in to manage the store.

The Site does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, cross-site tracking or third-party analytics. Because no tracking takes place, the Site does not change its behavior in response to browser "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals; there is nothing to opt out of.

3. How information is used

Your information is used to:

  • Process payments and fulfill orders, including giving you access to your downloads (to perform the contract with you).
  • Send receipts, download links you request, and support replies (to perform the contract with you).
  • Prevent fraud, abuse of download links and security incidents (legitimate interests in protecting the Site and its customers).
  • Keep accounting and tax records and respond to legal requests (to comply with legal obligations).

Grade 8 Modding sends only transactional emails related to your orders. It does not send marketing emails and does not sell, rent or share your personal information for advertising or for anyone else's direct marketing purposes.

4. Service providers

Information is shared only with providers that help run the Site, and only as needed for their service:

Information may also be disclosed if required by law, to enforce the Terms of Service, to protect the rights and safety of Grade 8 Modding or others, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.

5. International transfers

The Site is operated from the United States and its providers may process data in the United States and other countries. If you are outside the United States, your information will be transferred there. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the providers' standard contractual clauses or data privacy framework certifications.

6. Data retention

Order records are kept for as long as needed to provide ongoing access to your downloads and to meet accounting and tax requirements (generally up to seven years). Server logs are kept for a short period by the hosting provider. You can ask for your information to be deleted at any time; deleting an order also removes access to its downloads, and some records may be kept where the law requires.

7. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information held about you, or ask for a copy of it, by emailing support@grade8modding.com. Your identity may need to be verified before a request is completed, and you will not be treated differently for making one.

  • California residents. You can review and request changes to your information as described above. Grade 8 Modding does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and does not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes (California Civil Code §1798.83).
  • EU, UK and similar regions. You also have the right to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Security

The Site uses encrypted HTTPS connections, download links are private and unique to each order, team logins use hashed passwords, and payment data is handled by Stripe. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but reasonable measures are taken to protect your information. If a data breach affects your personal information, you will be notified as required by law.

9. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and Grade 8 Modding does not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact support@grade8modding.com and it will be deleted.

10. Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, with the date above revised. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Site.
