A Cat 242D compact skid steer loader. Turbo diesel, hydrostatic drive with real counter-rotation, working lift and tilt cylinders, an opening cab door, moving joysticks and a rotating beacon.

• 242D Standard: 66" bucket, enclosed cab
• 242D Pallet Forks: 42" forks
• 242D Open ROPS: no door or side glass

Also included

• Pallet: in the Props tab under Grade8. Empty, 400 kg or 900 kg of boxes.
• Flatbed trailer loads for the stock Flatbed Trailer: 3 skid steers (48 ft or 53 ft), 24 pallets of boxes, or 2 skid steers plus pallets. The loads are also in the trailer's parts menu (Front / Middle / Rear Load) so you can mix them.

Controls

• W / S / A / D: drive and steer
• T / G: raise / lower the arms
• I / K: curl / dump the bucket
• Alt+H: low / high speed range
• Alt+K: self-level on / off
• Alt+L or the normal headlight key: work lights
• The beacon comes on with the engine; the normal lightbar key switches it
• Click the door handle to open the front door

Good to know

• The engine has to be running to drive or use the arms.
• Let go of the controls and the machine holds itself, even on a slope.
• Pushing the arms down with the bucket on the ground lifts the front wheels.
• For pallets: lower the forks flat on the ground, drive in, then lift. Self-level helps keep the load flat.

Install

Drop the zip into your BeamNG mods folder without unzipping it:

Needs BeamNG.drive 0.39 or newer, no other mods.
